Portfolio

Woodworking is a story of where we’ve been and who we are. This comes through in the selection and the figure that’s highlighted. In the style and design. The strength of the joints and the way the finish enhances the grain.

My goal is to build heirlooms—beautiful, strong, functional. Each piece serves a purpose. Each piece will last for decades, meant to be passed on to the next generation.

Maple Dining Table

I designed and built this table to suit my clients’ needs: a big, sturdy farmhouse table, good for hosting groups, making large pots of sauerkraut, playing games around.

Cherry Dressers

My children needed clothing storage. Badly. We'd only ever had second-hand dressers (with caustic drawers that resisted being opened or closed with ease) or repurposed old bookshelves as open-air dressers for the kids before.

Charcuterie Boards

All manner of scraps or weirdly shaped pieces of wood have become boards on which to serve delectable food.

This was one of my first-ever projects—a cabinet with a lightbox on top, custom made for a friend.

Sunporch Plant Table

My partner wanted a table for all of our plants on our sun porch, which were placed at random wherever we could fit them. My dad had a lot of Black Walnut recently dried and ready to be used in a project.

Maple Liquor Cabinet

This little custom liquor cabinet was my third commission. I made it for dear friends who wanted something simple to store their bottles in that they could easily move around their kitchen when needed.

School Entryway Cabinet

There was a small entry way at my children’s school that was piled with stuff. All important stuff that served a purpose, but didn’t look so great as the welcoming space to the school. I offered to build them a cabinet.
