I’m Taliesin and Hungry Woodworker is my small, woman-owned business—based in St. Paul and in Houston, Minnesota, I strive to make beautiful home decor that brings the essence of our forests into the home.
All of my wood is sustainably sourced and each of the items are made by hand without the use of computer-aided equipment. For me, this work is about slowing down and showcasing the natural resources that make our world so lovely. I hope to bring some of that into your home.
Currently I sell items in St. Paul, Winona, and Rochester. If you’re interested in any of the pieces below, please send me an email.
About the work
Sustainably harvested: All the wood comes from sustainably harvested Minnesota trees.
Handmade: My work is done by hand and each item is distinct. Many of the pieces are made from lumber that I sawed with my dad on his mill, which means I’ve worked with this wood from log to finished product.
Nontoxic: All the finishes I use are nontoxic. For cutting boards, charcuterie boards, and other kitchen items, I make my own beeswax and walnut oil food safe finish. For all other items, I use Livos oil, a nontoxic, ecologically friendly oil that seals the wood and creates a protective barrier on the surface.
Email me at the address above or send me an inquiry via the form here. Let me know which piece you’re interested in, where you’re located, and your timeline for delivery.
